About Emma Townsend
| Emma Townsend gave up a promising career
as a debutante, dinner party cook and all-round ideal home girl to study at St Martin's
School of Art and Design in London. She then spent a year at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in
Paris. After completing a degree in Media Studies at the University of East Anglia, Townsend worked as a reporter for BBC national radio and now combines illustrating books, periodicals and websites with the role of director of marketing for Martin Miller Publications. She cooks like a dream, despite everything.
